The 126th Alpha chapter of WI, Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 5th at the Monona Terrace in downtown Madison at 1 John Nolen Drive. Please note this change in date.
The ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. with the procession of officers, members, and inductees. The program is hosted by President Jeff Hardin, IBio. A brief reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony. We suggest going out to dinner at a local restaurant and making a reservation. View our recommendations here.
Students being inducted are asked to arrive at 3:30 p.m. and check in at the registration table for further instructions. New inductees can pick up their packets and graduation cords at this time. The suggested dress is business casual, but please wear whatever is comfortable for you. There will be a photographer at the induction, but we cannot guarantee that every inductee will get their photo taken. Following the event, new inductees will receive a link to download the induction photos.
Parking is available at the facility for $5.00. Access to the lot is on John Nolen Drive. Review this link for more information about directions or parking.
In addition to the presentation of new members, the 2025 Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching award will be presented. There is also an honorary induction.
Guests are invited to attend in person to celebrate this honor with new inductees. Due to capacity issues, we ask that inductees limit guests to two or three people. Accepted members will be sent the streaming link directly for anyone unable to attend in person. Questions about the program can be sent via email to pbk@saa.ls.wisc.edu. If new members are unable to attend, there will be a designated time for packet pick-up that will be announced in mid-April.
If you need any accommodations for you or your guests, please email pbk@saa.ls.wisc.edu.
