The 124th Alpha chapter of WI, Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 15th in Varsity Hall, Union South at 1308 W. Dayton St.
The ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. with the procession of officers, members, and inductees. The program is hosted by Dean of the College of Letters & Science, Eric M. Wilcots, Associate Dean of the Humanities, Susan Zaeske and Alpha Chapter vice president, Professor Jeff Hardin (I-Bio). A brief reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony.
Students being inducted are asked to arrive at 3:30 p.m. and check-in at the registration table for further instructions. New inductees can pick up their packets and graduation cords at this time. Suggested dress is business causal, but please wear whatever is comfortable for you.
Lot 20 (at University Ave and Randall Ave) and lot 17 (behind Engineering Hall near Camp Randall) are free all-day Saturday. Push for a ticket to get in and the gate will lift automatically when you leave.
Both these lots are to Union South.
In addition to the presentation of new members, the 2023 Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching award will be presented. There is also an honorary induction.
Guests are invited to attend in-person to celebrate this honor with new inductees. Guests unable to attend can request the link to the live-streamed program by emailing rsvp@saa.ls.wisc.edu. If new members are unable to attend, there will be a designated time for packet pick-up.
